IEEE has approved (https://www.businesswire.com/news/h...02.11bb-Global-Light-Communications- Standard) is a new data transfer standard - Li-Fi speed reaches as much as 224 GB/s!

The main difference from Wi-Fi is that data is transmitted through the flickering of light bulbs and any other light sources. This leads to the main inconvenience, because light will not pass through the walls. You will have to install a router in each room.

Light waves are also impossible to hack - unless a dude breaks into your house and stares at your light bulbs.

Experts expect that we will see the first devices with Li-Fi before February 2024.
