The encryption process is performed using the AES-256-GCM algorithm.

Many portals on the Internet offer file encryption, but most of them send files to a server for encryption, which means that encrypting files does not make sense since the latter are already appearing on the Internet.
The Hat.sh service allows you to encrypt files directly in the browser without sending them to the server. The encryption process is performed using the AES-256-GCM algorithm. Using the service is quite simple. When logging into the site, the user must select an encrypted file, enter or generate an encryption key, and click “Encrypt” to encrypt and “Decrypt” to decrypt.

An additional portable version of the service can be installed on a local computer running Windows, macOS or Linux operating systems and work without an Internet connection.
